SWS Engineering is working collaboratively with Gensler and Balfour Beatty to provide Civil Engineering work for one of Mesa’s final classroom building projects – the Center for Business and Technology. The 60,000 gross-square-foot, design-build, two-story building will include classrooms and laboratories for courses in the Computer Business Technologies program, computer information sciences, multi-media programming, geography information systems programs, and Fashion.
Palomar College Parking Structure & Police Substation

SWS Engineering is currently designing the Palomar College Parking Structure and Police Substation in collaboration with Delawie and McCarthy Builders. This is a Design-Build Project consisting of a 1,600 stall parking structure and new police substation. To create room for this development, the existing Child Development Center had to be demolished, and the ring road (Comet Circle) had to be realigned. In addition, the project team need to ensure that there will be minimal parking and traffic impacts for the duration of construction.
Palomar College Operations and Maintenance Building

The Operations and Maintenance Building is a design-build new construction project on Palomar College’s main campus in San Marcos. This project is a new, one story building consisting of 27,000 ASF, two parking lots totaling 55 stalls, design for a new ADA path of travel and tying in new services to the existing utilities; sewer, water, fire and storm drain.
UCSD Triton Stadium

Seeking to align the quality of its ballpark with the direction and success of Triton Athletics, UC San Diego upgraded the university’s baseball facility, Triton Ballpark. Replacing a temporary clubhouse and restroom with permanent ones, the facility also includes a new press box, spectator grandstands, dugouts, entry gates and an outdoor barbecue area. The new Triton Ballpark capitalizes on the adjacent planned East Campus Recreational Area and light rail transit station to increase visibility and access of UCSD’s sports program.
PLNU Science Facility
Owner: Point Loma Nazarene University

Point Loma Nazarene University San Diego’s $40 million science facility is a project that included related renovations and expanded the Christian university. This new, modern, two-story, 36,000-square-foot science center provides new technology, laboratories and classrooms to the existing PLNU campus. The project included connecting the existing Rohr Science building to the new facility with an elevated walkway leading to a patio, with expansive views of the Pacific Ocean. For this project, SWS Engineering provided Land Surveying and Construction Staking services.
Crafton Hills Community College Science Center
Owner: San Bernardino Community College District
San Bernardino, CA
SWS Engineering provided the Civil Engineering design services for the Crafton Hills Community College Science Center within the San Bernardino Community College District. This project consists of the addition of eight permanent modular buildings, site improvements, site utilities, SWPPP, grading plans, erosion control and drainage studies.
