Mr. Schweitzer has over 17 years of civil engineering experience in educational facilities, biotechnical, residential, mixed-use, medical office buildings, affordable housing, hospitality, commercial, and public land development design and project management. As President and founder of SWS Engineering, Inc., he oversees all client interaction, project management, company quality control program, marketing efforts, and the in-house company training program.
Michael has managed the design and development of many projects, ranging from modernizations and upgrades, to demolition and construction of entire new sites. Some projects include: Autumn Terrace - a LEED Platinum Mixed-Use Affordable Housing/Commercial Retail development in San Marcos, CA, Living Rooms - an innovative affordable housing development recognized by the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York City in their "Small Scale Big Change" exhibit of 2010, and South East High School in the Val Verde Unified School District - the complete design of a brand new 3,000 student campus on 35 acres of vacant property,
Prior to starting SWS Engineering, Inc., in 2007, Mr. Schweitzer served as Vice President for a large southern California Engineering firm and was responsible for opening and managing the operations of the Riverside, CA office.
He is currently registered as a Professional Civil Engineer in the states of California and Arizona, and he has been involved with numerous projects up and down the West Coast
Ms. Santucci has over 25 years of civil engineering experience in land development with an emphasis in hydrology, hydraulics, utility design, grading, earthwork analysis, and current computer design applications. Ms. Santucci spent 4 years on the San Marcos Planning Commission reviewing permit applications ranging from minor business expansions to major subdivisions and recently served on the City of San Marcos' General Plan Advisory Committee. In addition to Ms. Santucci's engineering skills, her coordination and management skills make her an invaluable asset to SWS Engineering and our clients.
Ms. Tsaniff offers to SWS Engineering her knowledge and experience in project coordination, office management, business development and marketing professional services. Her dedication is evident by her desire to develop new business relationships and, more importantly, maintain excellent relations with our existing clients. She represents SWS Engineering, Inc. through her active participation regional business development and marketing associations.
Prior to joining SWS, Bree was Project Coordinator/Office Manager for a large civil engineering firm. Being in the civil engineering & development field for a number of years has enabled her to acquire vast knowledge of local & federal governing agencies' standards and requirements and a substantial comprehension of Southern California's changing need for sustainable development and green technologies.
